Frost & Sullivan Recognizes Mitel Networks for Customer Value Enhancement

San Jose, UNITED STATES, July 18 2003 - Frost & Sullivan named Mitel Networks as the recipient of the Customer Value Enhancement Award for the contact center industry at last night’s Excellence in Customer Value Enhancement Awards Banquet.

"Mitel Networks is one of the few companies in the contact center industry that has seen double-digit growth during the past two years," says Katrina Howell, Frost & Sullivan industry analyst. "Mitel Networks has achieved growth by satisfying customers with the introduction of a new product line and bundling strategy in combination with a highly competitive pricing strategy."

The company recognized the advanced functionality needs of the small to medium enterprise (SME) contact center market and that current offerings for the market are prohibitively priced for these businesses. To fulfill their demands, the company introduced the Mitel Networks 6100 Contact Center product line, a modular solution that offers progressive features at a fraction of the price of competitors’ solutions.

By bundling the 6100 contact center with Mitel Networks communications platforms, the company has managed to both sell at competitive price points and reach a large installed base of PBX customers’ interested in adding contact center functionality. These pricing and bundling strategies have enabled the company to sell its own products into its installed base rather than allow third party vendors to capitalize on the SME opportunity.

Held in Boston, Mass., the banquet honored proactive methods that ensure customers receive maximum value and return from their investment. The Customer Value Enhancement Award is presented to the company that has best demonstrated the ability to expand its customer base, while maintaining the existing install base, with more innovative value creation and enhancement strategies than competing vendors within a market.
