PROBLEM
You cannot view reports in the CCMWeb.
SYMPTOMS
When attempting to view a report in the CCMWeb Report Inbox, you receive an error message stating "Report Launcher object could not be created".

NOTE: The error message may slightly differ depending on the CCM version installed.
RESOLUTION
Verify if it’s the server or the clients that have the problem. If both the server and client have the problem, troubleshoot the server first. After each step test to see if you can view reports.
- Verify if excel is installed and working.
- Ensure the Contact Center Client has been ran at least once (if testing on the client PC).
- Reset Internet Explorer to default settings and delete the temporary internet file cache.

- Add the CCM website to the trusted sites.

- Apply a caspol fix by downloading the attached caspol.bat file. Copy the batch file into a command prompt, press space bar, type in the IP address of the server, and then press enter.

The command should produce the following results:

- Apply the gac utility by downloading the attached gac.zip file. Make sure all Internet Explorer browsers are closed. Copy the files into temporary directory on the C: drive. Open a command prompt and go to the directory where the files are. Type gacutil.exe /cdl. You should receive the following results:

WARNING: If you receive a message saying that the cache could not be deleted because some files are in use, restart the PC and retry.
NOTE: After successfully running GAC, run steps #3 and #4 again.
- Disable any antivirus application running.
- Verify we can properly download .dll files to the client. Copy any .dll to the root of CCMWeb websites folder (by default it is C:\Program Files\prairieFyre Software Inc\CCM\Websites\CCMWeb) and call it test.dll.
Next, try to browse to this file using http://localhost/ccmweb/test.dll. We should be prompted with a Save As dialog. If not, this indicates that dll files are blocked from being downloaded. You can also verify this by copying a regular .txt file and doing the same thing as above.
- If the problem continues, please contact prairieFyre technical support.
